Steering Committee
A Steering Committee, comprised of elected sectoral representatives (civil society, governments – including ASEAN Secretariat and the UN family), forms the primary governance structure of JUNIMA. The Steering Committee is currently chaired by the UN Resident Coordinator (UNRC) in Thailand and meets on a quarterly basis.
Roles and responsibilities of the Steering Committee members include:
a) representing the membership of JUNIMA
b) providing technical expertise
c) discuss and approve workplans and strategies, and ensure their implementation
d) direct the work of the Secretariat
e) ensure consistent participation (attend quarterly meetings - or assign an alternate).
