Many of the same inequalities that drive the spread of HIV also drive migration.

Promote Regional Advocacy and Policies

Output 2: Standards-based advocacy for universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support services for migrants and mobile populations throughout the migration cycle promoted and supported.

 

Key Activities

 

2.1 Lead broad-based regional campaigns to reduce stigma and discrimination against migrants, mobile populations and PLHIV and promote them nationally.

 

2.2 Advocate and facilitate mulit-sector policy dialogue to harmonize laws, regulations and human rights policies in ASEAN member countries, and Yunnan and Guangxi (China).

 

2.3 Promote building capacity and awareness regarding HIV vulnerability of MMPs with health and non-health sector (e.g. transport and infrastructure sector, tourism, police, MOFA, MOL, etc.), civil society and private sector.

 

2.4 Promote and facilitate dialogue among countries on access to affordable medicines and diagnostics, health insurance and health referral systems for migrants and mobile populations.
